In a flash of green sparks Spider appears with weather warming up she's wearing a black tank top underneath a worn looking brown jacket and jeans, wincing slightly she pulls out her phone to double check where she needs to go.
Upon touching down, Spider notices three things:
The full moon? It's still out even despite it being daylight. For some odd reason, it seems the moon is beginning to overtake the sun, almost giving the sky a strangely hazy solar eclipse-like effect. Whatever is happening here, something is clearly not right. Unlike normal solar eclipses, peering into the skies does not damage eyes.
There are sheets of paper haphazardly hung up and strewn about on a lot of the nearby electrical poles. They all seem to have the same information on them.
Borealis Adventurers’ Guild is the fancy marble pillared building at the end of the road due north. From Spider's vantage, she can see it pretty easily. Seems like something is going on over there.
Sliding her phone into pocket, Spider looks up at the skies the moon catching her attention. And it doesn't seem to let go, Spider's body tenses and her hands start to tremble before she finally manages to tear her gaze away looking around desperately for a distraction. Which the guild provides and after taking a deep breath they head towards it.
Spider is able to without any issues. She notices balloons and banners outside of the entrance proclaiming it to be the Grand Opening of the Museum of Legends, and for the first day, admission is free. The regal-looking wooden doors are open. After a quick glance at the posters -- rather detailed posters with an older gentleman, apparently ADMIN Polaris according to the poster, and multiple differently sized replicas of Creatures of Legends -- Spider enters.
When she walks inside, she sees an older woman standing behind the receptionist desk that looks familiar. Her nameplate calls her "ADMIN Sagittarius" but it's clearly just Sandra McCormick, someone Spider did a Side Quest for only weeks ago. She calls out to Spider in a very pleasant tone with a smile, "Oh! Hey! Welcome to Borealis Guild!"
Spider flashes Sandra a polite smile as they walk up to her, "hey."
"Are you here to see my husband's collection? It's honestly impressive. He said he's got something for nearly every known Creature, and with Andromeda's help, they made every exhibit more interesting." Sandra explains with a grin on her face. "Though I would recommend exercising caution while you're here."
"and why's that?" Spider gives Sandra a questioning look.
Sandra sighs and speaks in a way that only Spider can hear her. It's very quiet, but with Spider's keen hearing, she can hear her perfectly. "It's because, as far as Nova is aware, you are wanted. Not that I expect our citizens to act on it, unless they are itching for money. Spark is kind of..." With a press of a button on her console, Sandra temporarily turns off all of the security cameras in the reception area, "An idiot. Cash money does not mean much here, he should know this. If he was truly locked into this move, he would have offered Credits over cash. Even so, with your... looks, no offense, I would take great care to not get caught. I heard they caught one of the targets already, a... Teresa P. Kells... clearly a pseudonym built off of an anagram for Spark Estelle, but I digress. His plans may be very foolish, but his power is terrifying. I do not wish to assist him in his goals, I solely want to archive and watch his downfall. Then maybe all of these goalposts that Chandra’s built for us will be executed properly. Nova Heart was never meant to be an organization for evil."
Spider's ears perk up in surprise at the news and she quietly responds, "that's ...not ideal, it sounds like you know why I'm wanted though."
Sandra nods and responds in the same fashion, "It's not just you. It's Luna, Hinata, ADMIN Rasalhague, You, and the woman who called themself Teresa P. Kells. Apparently ADMIN Rasalhague was added to the wanted sheet after they escaped from their cell."
"Ok ..well." Spider sighs and glances around the lobby, "ta for the heads up."
[The lobby is pretty empty all things considered. If you only had one word to describe Borealis Adventurers' Guild, it would be high-class. It's the epitome of boring and fancy with white marble walls and flooring, sculptures and paintings showcased near the perimeter, all created by local Borealis District artists, and expensive-seeming furniture make the space feel comfortable but only if you have the money to enjoy it. The few patrons still waiting around are wearing designer clothing and seem to scoff at the couple others wearing clothes from Sunshine Horizons. Leading into the Museum of Legends is bright red carpet. With your hearing, you can tell that's where most of the people are at. It doesn't appear to be very busy.]
That small glance around is enough for Spider to head into the museum, this guild definitely isn't the place for her.
Definitely not, though no one seems to bother Spider. She’s able to enter the Museum without issue and finds herself in THE OVERVIEW.
