[The Overview]

Upon stepping inside, Spider finds herself in a large hexagonal room with some general information on the Creatures of Legend and some art created by local artists from Capital City. There are three exhibits here in this one room: "The Primer", "The Fight for Archival", and "What Mysteries Remain", all with their own little blurbs and images included.

On the walls, she notices placards above doors each leading to different rooms in the Museum.

To make life a bit easier after looking around the room Spider decides to ignore the doors for now and heads over to the primer exhibit, now keeping her guard up after the tip by Sandra. Just in case.

[The Primer]

The Primer is a touch-screen exhibit that you can swipe up and down to gain more information on who the Curator is and his history with the Creatures of Legend.

[You see an old black and white photo of a somewhat familiar man, Sigmund Ferris, touted as 'the original Adventurer' and founder of The Adventurers Guilds of Nova City. Sigmund Ferris was born on March 11, 1895 under a lunar eclipse. He is a handsome gentleman with a black handlebar mustache, a mole on their lower left jaw, and a focused smile and wearing what looks like a classic aviators outfit, helmet and goggles included. He is the originator of the term 'Creature of Legend' which describes magical monsters that lurk right outside in The Outskirts and could explain certain phenomena. Sigmund called these Creatures "Concepts", offering origins to various naturally occuring topics. Next to the photo, you see newspaper clippings and what seems like excerpts from interviews calling this man a raving lunatic and some even calling him a genius for his research. Despite some issues with funding, he was an accomplished scientist and was able to compile data of 30 of the 100 possible Creatures.]

The second screen is about his death.

[You notice that he had passed away on January 29, 1972. The phrase 'The Spark' is included in this section. You see photos of this event and much of Nova City is set aflame. You also see a man dressed in robes with what looks like beams of something coming from his hands. It appears someone was able to take a picture of the man, but even the photo seems damaged.]

Sigmund Ferris
The Original Curator
1895 - 1972
Died doing what he loved.
He will be missed.

And the third section is about his family, those who continue his legacy:

[First you see a man who looks very similar to Sigmund down to facial features though lacking the handlebar. It's his first son, James Ferris, born September 18, 1944. It's said that he has two sons as well, one Thomas Ferris, the older male you saw on the poster outside with the Creatures. And the other... strangely, there's no data for them. There's a birthdate, January 29, 1977 on the 5 years anniversary of The Spark, but nothing more. No photo, nothing about who they are, what they are, gender, what happened. Just.. blank. You'd think someone with the intention of archival would have more information, but sometimes, not everything can be archived successfully. Either that or.. the information does not WANT to be archived.

Spider glances over the exhibit, the void of information certainly catches her interest and after a few minutes of reading it over they move onto the next exhibit.

[Fight for Archival]

The second exhibit is Fight for Archival. It's a much shorter selection showing how difficult it is to archive the Creatures. It does not help that despite being an accomplished scientist, his father's writings were like the ravings of a madman. In fact, the exhibit goes onto to saying that his Sigmund's original texts were adapted into the novel Legends of the Creatures of Legend since it combined science fact with science fiction.

[The other part in this section talks about how while the first 30 were actual creatures, the other 69 are, for the most part, Magic Users so incredibly powerful that they became Creatures of Legends themselves. You notice in this list of the 69 Casters of Legend, Luna, Hinata, Chandra, and Elara are all noted, but getting information on them is rather difficult since many of them are private citizens and thus, are likely unwilling to have information scientifically given. Reasonable, lets be honest here.]

CoL 42 - Ashen Demon - Chandra
CoL 44 - Sunriser - Hinata
CoL 69 - Moonsetter - Luna
CoL 90 - Hypernova - Elara

You also notice something about how the extended 69 are able to defeat the other Creatures to gain more power. It's almost like a Highlander situation. There is constant turmoil and in-fighting amongst the Casters and the Creatures looking to gain more and more power. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?

Spider frowns mentally filing this away as definitely important information then moves onto the final exhibit.

[What Mysteries Remain]

Shockingly, not much is unknown aside from private citizens giving up information about their magic. Despite that, they still have to register with the AAA, the Agency of Arcane Affairs, but that information isn't given up so easily. No what Polaris and the CoL Archival Team are missing the most is information about the Guardians and about Malfunction. To them, Malfunction 'exists' but not much is known about them. The selection about Malfunction claims it could be a God of the World, one of the Many Gods Above even, but its status within The Magickas seems to imply it's just part of the World itself. The Guardians, much like Malfunction, have a similar issue. The Four Guardians of the World are known, but not much about them are known aside from name, species, general gists of abilities, and what they protect. Their motivations or origin of these beasts is generally unknown, as is why they exist in the first place. Until further research is performed, this information may be locked away.

CoL - 19 - Guardian of the Waters - CASS
CoL - 20 - Guardian of the Skies - CELESTE
CoL - 21 - Guardian of the Forests - FENRIR WOLFBANE
CoL - 22 - Guardian of the Flames - IGNIS

Well that was certainly interesting, Spider once again rereads the exhibit to help her memorize the important parts. Then she moves on to the rest of the museum.

[You see above the four doors four nameplates leading to different rooms.]

On the far left and with rather natural sounds and scents coming from it, the "Earth" door is there.
Next to it, the sounds of running water. The "Water" door
The sound of blowing winds and birds squawking are in the "Air" door, third from the left.
And finally, with the scent of crackling wood and a bit of comfortable heat, the "Fire" door is on the far right.

[You notice that each of the doors seems to correspond to the four Guardians with Fenrir to Earth, Ignis to fire, Celeste to Air, and Cass connected to water.]

As their eyes scan the doors Spider gives the final one an uncomfortable look and instead heads inside the earth door.
