Shared Visions - September 13, 2025

ALICE - The night before OPERATION - DIM THE LIGHT was to commence, all Shardholders received a dream vision. Each of their dream visions were very similar: all took place in Central Square, all of them featured each Shardholder completely alone. Past those similarities, however, each dream was different. Even after finishing archiving and the final battle that ensued, I still don’t know why this was the case. This is an incredibly rare case, even according to ANAN, the purveyor of the Nightmare Realm.

What follows are the dreams in their entirety, as presented by Anan, Nightmare’s Judgment:

Patrice -

Patrice is in Central Square beneath a darkened, swirling sky. Screams are heard as heat is felt all around her. Blood is spattered, the clangs of metal on metal. As all of that is happening, a shadowy figure -- one with only a cruel twisted smile -- grins at her. Nothing else about the figure is noticeable aside from its sheer size, towering over her, bent over and staring.

A light feminine voice calls out to her, one only she hears. Familiar, oddly familiar. Childish in tone. She knows who this voice belongs to. It screams out to her, “I cannot hold it back any longer! He’s too powerful!”

What can Patrice even do in this situation? Is there even anything she can do?

Not knowing what can be done, Patrice replies, hoping to summon some sort of innate strength, “Then we do this together. There’s strength in numbers, even if it’s just a gal and her golden gun.” With the weight of her Revolver of Untold Secrets in her hands, she raises her gun and shoots at the figure, intending to use some sort of an electrical shock attack. The magical bullet bounces off futilely, and somehow, her entire body is blasted back twenty feet and falls to the ground. She is alone. She is completely alone and heavily damaged.

The full moon stares down upon her, as if watching over her every move. The Magickas’ faithful watcher is the only light she can see. With even her Revolver feeling weakened, it responds, “Without you, saving our World is impossible.” The silence that follows is jarring. The glow from the Revolver dies. Patrice wakes up.

Spider -

Spider is in Central Square beneath a darkened, swirling sky.

She notices that she is completely alone save for her Glitch Blade of Error. Even with its seemingly infinite wisdom and fantastical power to glitch reality, it seems to be terrified. The blade vibrates and shudders from sheer fear. Its inscription changes to. “Where are we? What is happening?”

What can Spider even do in this situation? Is there even anything she can do?

Immediately on edge at whatever is happening, Spider glances around to see nothingness then takes a step towards the figure. Her grip on Error tightens. She feels something blocking her movement, a glass barrier of some kind. The figure’s smile widens. With a growl through her bared teeth, Spider attempts to shatter the barrier with her Glitched Blade.

The barrier does not break. In fact, striking it causes Spider to get launched back twenty feet to the ground. It seems the sheer force she propelled into the barrier was countered, and heavy damage is dealt to her. The moment she lands is enough shock to wake Spider up.

Viper -

Viper is flying on the back of something. She hears the screams and shouts of something falling. Is it human, animal? She doesn't know. It's much too dark in this place to see. Viper smells a familiar scent, sickly sweet, overpowering. To smell it causes her to drowse. As she lands back on the ground, her vision becomes hazy. The enemy in front of her stands still, swirling color. The heat of battle is apparent. Or perhaps, it’s the flames surrounding her. She is alone with an entity smiling at her, a wide awful smile. Chaos incarnate.

Viper attempts to investigate their surroundings, attempting to get a grasp as to what's going on.

You begin to realize that many of the buildings in this area are on fire. The place where you stand is in the very center, surrounded by all of this fire. A large something in front of you smiles, twisted and cold. You feel something on your body vibrate. It's familiar. It's your Dagger.

Viper draws her dagger and holds it out in front of herself, shaking with fear as she coughs, fearing that she'd need yet another pair lungs as she calls out "WHAT ARE YOU? WHAT DO YOU WANT?"

The moment she calls that out, Viper hears the following from the shadowy figure, "To see them suffer. Suffer as I have."

She notices something glowing on the figure, something red and near its head. Its smile widens. Everything around her freezes. The fire, the shadow figure, even the swirling sky above her stops. Everything glows crimson. You wake up.

ALICE - Getting a dream like this would freak anyone out, and this goes especially for The Gang. Knowing that their Shards of Legend were all part of these dreams. Oddly, one other person had a dream like this as well, but here’s where it’s strange. She doesn’t own a Soul Shard. In fact, Bunbun is relatively NEW to our community; so, this makes her dream even more confusing.

Bunbun -

You see a vision of a sky swirling in many colors. In front of you lies a large metal door with something red glowing on it. Four numbers are on this door, 2059. You don't know why you're seeing the vision, or what 2059 could represent.

ALICE - I still have no idea how or why Bunbun got one of these. The dream is also completely different than what the other three got. No mentions of standing in Capital City, no dark figure. Just… a door. Hopefully we can solve what this dream means, but for now, we have an operation to do. Tomorrow, THE OPERATION BEGINS!
