The Flamebearer is one of the Creatures of Legend, mythical magical creatures that are usually extremely dangerous and hostile to anyone who runs into them. It is unclear how many Creatures of Legend exist, but meeting with one usually leads to an untimely fate and/or a painful end to their life. Only those who can prove themselves worthy will survive the ordeal. And some will be special enough to gain a Gift, much like the Flamebearer Feather Violet holds. Only one gift can be given to a person. It is imperative that Violet keeps this feather intact and away from those who wish harm on the World itself, as if it gets into the wrong hands, The Flamebearer's Gift or any other Gift from a Creature of Legend could very well mean The End.
