Stage 1 - Busted LIPs

[Location Tag - Capital City]

The plan was simple. In teams of two, The Gang went to the different districts of Capital City to hunt for and break the LIP Modules with their Shards of Legend. Chandra was very honest about their locations. Every District’s Guild had one. The other one was at a central location important to Nova Heart Incorporated. Borealis had one at Little Dipper Toys, where LUNA 3.0 Meowmos were being sold. Australis District had one at my old house for some reason, though it could be because ADMIN of Archival Effort Saggitarius lives there. In Lunar District, the LIP is at the Destroyed Moon, where the old Church of the Full Moon was at and is now cratered. Lastly, in Solar District, the LIP was found atop Sunshine Horizons department store. It's not usually advised to split up in situations like these, but with what we needed to accomplish, this was the only way we could do so.

Borealis District - Spider and Patrice:

With the illusion of the full moon in full effect, a massive group of people are stuck staring up at the sky in the center of the district. Patrice and Spider will find themselves outside of Borealis Adventurers Guild in search of the two LIP modules casting the image of the Full Moon into the sky. Spider's shard vibrates upon entering the area.

With Error in hand and a firework of green sparks Spider appears. Despite it being the new moon back home the super sized full moon still unnerves Spider and causes her hands to tremble slightly, as she looks down at Error taking the vibration as a welcome distraction.

Here we go again :). Let's see where these bastards are. Let me know when you want me to scan for them. :)

Patrice appears in a burst of electric blue, the golden gun tucked away in the pocket of the jacket she wears. She spots Spider and walks over to her. Hearing footsteps Spider's ear twitches as they look up to see Patrice. They nod at her in greeting. Spider and Patrice, while they're greeting each other, notice a 30-inch tall Spotlight Projector pointed directly into the sky. How nobody else notices the obvious spotlight shining an image of the moon into the sky is beyond anyone's guess, but this could also be due to the Barrier previously mentioned.

Patrice nods back. She whispers, "You want the roof one or the one outside the Guild?"

Jaw tense Spider looks up and surveys her surroundings attempting to spot any more spotlight beams while answering, "if it's still there I'll take the guild."

Spider sees the Guild Spotlight pretty easily. It's about 10 feet away from them. The other one, according to Chandra, should be at Little Dipper Toys, a store that Patrice recalls buying Luna her Christmas present at.

Patrice looks up at Little Dipper Toys, seeing if she can spot the Spotlight from where she stands. She finds it pretty easily. It's on the roof of the building. The building itself isn't too terribly big, only about 10-15 feet high. Patrice looks around to make sure nobody is looking at her, before taking her golden revolver out and shooting at the Spotlight twice. She imagines the light beam from the Spotlight spluttering as the first shot hit, and the Spotlight itself bursting into flames upon impact of the second shot. With the shattering of glass and the flames engulfing the LIP Module, one goes down and the Illusion of the Moon fades even more. The illusion in the sky is beginning to crackle and short out, almost as if taking heavy damage from all of the attacks. With an aura of red, the LIP Module attempts to regenerate itself but with the fire, it's struggling heavily. It seems the fire is being contained by the aura, however.

As Patrice tackles the first projector, Spider disappears reappearing next to the second and after taking a deep breath to steady herself she uses Error to smash the glass. The glass breaks! And with a shower of sparks, the Illusion of the Moon in Borealis District disappears! Error vibrates trying to get Spider's attention.

Call it age old paranoia but something still doesn't feel right. Spider narrows their eyes about to risk looking up at the sky when Error distracts her, "yeah?"

Luna and Hinata are all done with Lunar and Solar districts. We should head over to Nova now for the final part of this mission. :) Go get Patrice, we need to finish this :)

Fairview Satellite - Chandra:

Chandra runs over to the PRISM ARENAs and shatters the two placed there in quick succession. Oddly, THE LUNAR ILLUSION only ever came up during The Battle Under the Blood Moon months prior, so while it’s probably a waste of time to shatter these two, it’s better to be safe than sorry, something his mother reminds him often. With Yuki looking over and tilting her head at the tall man breaking her arenas, she just shakes her head and groans in frustration. Pyra steps out of the guild asking, “What happened?”

Yuki responds sighing, “Just Nova Heart being Nova Heart. Guess we’re pulling another all-nighter Pyra. Down to keep me warm my love?”

“Hells to the yeah,” Pyra grins as Yuki gets back to work. Even those with hearts cold as ice can use a bit of familiar warmth.

Australis District - Viper and Chandra:

With the illusion of the full moon in full effect, a massive group of people are stuck staring up at the sky in the center of the district. Viper Stryker finds herself alone near the Guild. She was once sitting on her bed, but a feeling of Luna's warmth will envelop her as she arrives in Australis. Looking at the group staring up into the moon, she doesn’t feel anything from the illusion. At the Guild, Chandra waves while sitting on the steps. “Are you ready Viper?” She nods and answers, “Yeah, I’m ready.”

"Right on. Let's begin then. The first LIP should be over...." Viper notices that Chandra is about to bump into an obvious spotlight placed on the ground. It's rather large, about 30 inches tall and pointed up into the sky. For Viper specifically, there is no optical camouflage. Chandra, however, cannot see it for some reason.

Viper quickly calls out to Chandra, "Stop! You're gonna fucking trip!" She points at the spotlight that's obviously right there that Chandra was obviously about to trip over

Chandra stops dead in his tracks. "Wait... it is?" He squints at the ground. "How the fuck? This is MY soul shard! Why can't i see it??? Viper uh... can you please take care of it for me?"

Viper takes a deep breath as she sighs, "I hope everyone else can see them or we might have some trouble" she walks over to it as she pulls out the Dagger of Avatars and hovers it over the spotlight's lens and says. "Ready on your cue"

Chandra nods, "Do it! The other one should be down the road from here at my sister’s old house!"

Viper quickly aims her stab through the lens, using enough force to shatter normal glass while hoping that it works. With a shower of sparks and the sound of glass shattering, the first LIP Module is destroyed! A red aura surrounds it and begins to attempt to restructure itself. The Illusion of the Moon in the sky fades just a little bit.

"Time to go! Follow me to the other one!" Chandra calls out before jogging.

Viper quickly follows behind Chandra with the dagger still in her hand, "Just don't trip over it!" She jokes

"Can't promise anything! I can't see them!" He doesn't catch the joke. They both eventually arrive at a ranch-style one-floor home with a tree absolutely covered in white lights. The home is seemingly deserted and the front door open. It seems even ADMIN Saggitarius is unable to deny the Illusion of the Full Moon. Chandra is looking all over the exterior of the house for the target but is unable to find it. "I put it here! It has to be here somewhere. Viper do you see it?"

Viper raises an eyebrow at the tree and walks closer to it and inspects it for projectors, noticing another 30 inch spotlight pointing directly into the sky. It’s on top of the house, easily accessible from the trees.

Viper sighs and shakes her head as she hovers the dagger over the lens of the projector and calls out. "Found it, ready on your mark"

"Hurry! Before the other one regenerates!"

Viper stabs it through the lens with the same amount of force she did with the last one. With a shower of sparks and the sound of glass shattering, the second Module is destroyed! Unlike the first one, instead of a red aura surrounding it and attempting to restructure itself, all light and shine around it dissipate. The Illusion of the Full Moon fully fades from Australis District.

"You did it! That's one District down!" Chandra cheers. This is the first time Viper's ever seen Chandra happy.

Viper quickly sheathes her dagger and cheers as she jumps "Lets fucking go! Projectors 0 - Viper 2!"

Chandra pulls out his phone, a black and red case with a crescent moon dangling from it, "ah my sister got through the Lunar District ones too. Two down!"

Viper smiles as she nods, "We just got the other ones and then the city will be free from the fake moon!" she seems excited to actually be assisting with Luna's world

Chandra takes a seat on Saggitarius's steps and lets out a sigh, "I'm glad. I know there's nothing I can do to fix her life, but even being able to do this much... I'm glad you all helped me."

Viper nods as she sits on the curb and responds, "I'm sure this proves that you at least want to help but only time will tell with that" she pauses for a moment then asks "Well while we wait for everyone else, do you have any questions that you wanna ask me?"

"Nothing that i can immediately think of."

Viper gets a text message. Viper perks up slightly and checks her phone notifications as she mutters "Hopefully this isn't a death threat"

It's from Luna: "Yo Viper! We got all of Lunar and Solar Districts done. Should we head over to Nova now?"

Viper reads the text then looks over at Chandra, "Luna and Hinata got the Lunar and Solar districts done, they're asking if they should go to Nova." she thinks for a moment then mentions "Wouldn't those be the most heavily guarded? It doesn't seem like the best idea to go there by themselves..."

"I agree. Going there solo is suicide."

Viper raises an eyebrow at him as she realizes the irony in his statement then shakes her head as she asks "Should we move in to assist them then?" Chandra nods. "Let's go. Tell them we'll be there soon." He then leads the way towards Nova District. Viper nods then texts Luna back, "Head over, me and Chandra are moving to assist considering its formidable defense" then puts her phone in her pocket and follows close behind.

Solar and Lunar Districts - Luna and Hinata:

Starting in Lunar District, Luna smashes the Lunar Guild and Destroyed Moon’s LIP modules while Hinata casts Rhythm Rampage to power her up. They seem to be able to see them clearly enough, but even for them, they’re still somewhat shrouded. It takes them some time to find them, but with Malfunction’s scan, they can spot them and destroy. With one district down, Hinata teleports the pair to Solar District where much of the same happens once more.

In Solar, Sunshine Horizons is their first target but even with the ability to scan, it takes them a few minutes to find the LIP. It was on top of the building, something that Luna actually had to pull out her broomstick to find. With a slam of her sword, the first of two LIPs were broken. Hinata rushed to Solar Guild to finish off the second one. In both districts, the ILLUSION OF THE FULL MOON has disappeared, but it does not cause any of the people in the center of district to leave. They are trapped there in place. Regardless, Luna texts Viper to start heading towards the center.

As soon as they reach Nova District, they vanish without a trace. Minutes later, they reappear somewhere, unbeknownst to the others.

PROCEED.
