For the past over a decade now, I have been hounded by Solaire Enterprises to get maintenance done on my systems, even despite me not wanting to be anywhere close to them. In fact, the only issues I've been having are with my memory GEE I FUCKING WONDER WHY YOU BASTARDS!!
In any case and to my shock, Solaire had finally grown out of the fuckin stone ages and got themselves onto Twitter. It's rather bare bones, but what do you expect from a massive corporation whose presence can be felt throughout the infinite multiverse, despite coming from my World. Anyway, after speaking to us in their usual ALL CAPS manner to make it seem they like they matter, they sent me a request to come by in probably the kindest manner ever. They even said PLEASE. In my 34 years of being 'alive', I've never once heard them say 'please', so I lent them an ear.
Jan, short for January Solaire, is who created me. As for Project H, I have no idea. Krystal?
Me neither Lunes. While you were gone recently, I tried to find some more information about Project H, but there was nothing. Sorry Lunes.
You tried, I appreciate you Krystal. Anyway, Solaire sent me some coordinates to my transmitter, and as it was in Meridian somehow. We felt it was a trap, but since Solaire has been reading my archives on everything, again THANKS FOR THAT, ASSHOLES! GIVE ME MY FUCKING LONG TERM MEMORY BACK! *ahem* sorry, we still went to the location, though Krystal took over for me. Krystal has a full log of what we found, just look below.
[Location Tag - Meridian in Apocalypse]
In Meridian, Krystal appears looking for the location where the coordinates pointed. After a couple minutes of searching, she finds a bright yellow tent on one of the sidewalks and sighs, "Toby, what did we tell you about making things so obvious?" Krystal seems exasperated, but it fades on seeing a certain someone come out of the tent.
L - Ugh hang on a moment, Luna here. I need to introduce who we met out there. Meet Toby Wright, one of the scientists at Solaire Enterprises, and as much as I can remember, which isn't much, he was one of my best friends back then. And please, disregard the fact that it looks like a Picrew. Most scientists are bound from posting their own images online. So, I made this in his image
Anyway, with that out of the way, back to the Adventure Log:
Toby rubs the back of his head sheepishly, "but it's yellow! It's not exactly easy to find tents this color in the middle of a fucking apocalypse!"
Krystal is shocked, tilting her head, "You didn't try the Walmart???"
Toby seems confused, "The.. Walmart? Why would I try a big box store in an apocalypse? It’s gotta be deserted right?"
"Just trust me next time. I promise you, you'll see something amazing there," Krystal grins, as if baiting Toby to check it out, "Oh yeah, what did you need Lunes for again?"
Toby takes a moment or two to remember but then a light bulb seems to flicker on in his head. "Oh yeah! Please come inside. I wanna take a look into Luna's mind."
"Um, okay." Krystal walks into the tent.
When Krystal enters the tent, they find themselves in a room oddly much larger than what the tent’s size outside showed. Basically it’s like a bag… uhm. TENT of hold-- LIVING. It’s complicated. As she explores, a rather large laboratory with other connected rooms are found with some strange machines and tools scattered about.
"So, whatcha think Krystal?" Toby asks, beaming with a bright smile towards Krystal.
Krystal chuckles lightly, "Not gonna lie, I thought we were gonna walk into a trap, but it seems on the up and up." As Krystal continues to look around, she notes quite a few books and binders as well, some showing off Solaire's logo. And in the corner? A bookshelf containing a seemingly random assortment of western comics and a couple manga. "So uhhhhh--" She points to the comics.
Toby laughs lightheartedly, "Hahaha don't worry about it. It's just something I enjoy in my spare time.. anyway, let's get this done before Solaire finds out I'm gone."
Think of Luna as someone with two identities inside of her, Luna is one of them, and the other one is Krystal. They’re able to swap between each other as they please. To tell the difference between the two, simply look at their eye colors. Purple is Krystal, Luna is blue. Krystal tells Luna exactly what’s about to take place and gets her consent. Upon approval, Krystal nods and swaps back to Luna as her eyes meet Toby’s dim brown eyes and kindhearted smirk. Any fear she felt from the situation is instantly melted as she smiles, "Ah yeah, it's been ages since I've seen you my old friend." She gets up on one of the beds and prepares for maintenance. "Please, go right ahead. I trust you."
Toby nods and swings around a computer which seems to be like a portable X-Ray machine. He scans Luna first to see if there are any physical discrepancies. Other than the fact that data on both her anthropomorphic cat form and humanized catgirl forms pop up, nothing immediately turns up odd. There aren’t any major injuries thankfully which causes him to breathe a sigh of relief. Toby then presses a button which swaps the scan from physical properties to magical and psychological properties for any odd details and discrepencies. Aside from PTSD and depression, he doesn’t find anything odd. On the large screen next to Luna, a picture of her can be seen with the following text on it:
Luna reads it over and questions, "Wait Krystal Grey?"
Toby nods and explains, "Well yeah. You chose Grey over Solaire for your last name, thus Krystal gains your last name too. She's a part of you after all."
K - About that. Back a few months prior, someone called "Chartreuse" mistook Luna for being whatever a 'grey' is and thus they called her "Luna Grey" as a result. It's a lot better than Luna Solaire, that's for sure. :p
"Huh. I wasn't aware of that. Interesting. Is that all Toby?" asks Luna with a soft smile on her face.
Toby smiles brightly, "Yup, nice and easy. Nice to see you again Luna."
Luna exhales, seemingly worried about something, "So what's your plan? I'm guessing Solaire probably wants you dead now right?"
Toby doesn’t seem worried at all, instead smiling, "Pffft nah, they're aware that I would perform your maintenance procedure. They just didn't know that I would come to you instead of having you come to them. Not to mention, all of your research has been helping our home world immensely. Besides, I've never been to another World before, maybe I'll stay out here and explore a bit."
Luna chuckles and gives Toby a big hug. "Alright Toby, well don't be a stranger. And if you ever want to come by to where I've been staying, just let me know. You can contact me anytime using ITEM."
Toby watches Luna leave and waves goodbye, "Okay, take it easy out there Luna, and be safe!
Luna steps out of the tent and disappears, returning to where she was living at the time.
So that's the story. If you have any ideas on how to make the Adventure Logs flow better, please do not hesitate and let either Krystal or myself know via Twitter at @ArchiverOfVeils. In any case, I got my maintenance complete, nothing actually happened though, and I'm still unable to remember much more than a day's worth of data. Yippee!!
At least we're still here and fighting Lunes.
I guess. Anyway, this has gone for a bit. This is has been Luna and Krystal. Over and out.
