Inside of the Meridian Walmart, one known for having literally everything anyone could want, something has changed. Seems to be a lot happier inside of there despite the rarity of visitors to it. Violet flies down near the Walmart for any sign of a party, looking around. As Violet looks around, she sees the ruins of a huge party in the city. Many booths are still up but are mostly trashed and scavenged for resources. It's a mess. That being said, some signs of the advertising for the Solaire promoted Winter Solstice Rave still exist and are intact. Violet grabs one of the advertisements and reads it.
It reads:
𝓒𝓮𝓵𝓮𝓫𝓻𝓪𝓽𝓮 𝓢𝓸𝓵𝓪𝓲𝓻𝓮'𝓼 𝓽𝓪𝓴𝓮𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓻 𝓫𝔂 𝓛𝓪𝓭𝔂 𝓗𝓲𝓷𝓪𝓽𝓪! 𝓐 𝔀𝓲𝓵𝓭 𝓪𝓹𝓸𝓬𝓪𝓵𝔂𝓹𝓽𝓲𝓬 𝓶𝓾𝓵𝓽𝓲𝓿𝓮𝓻𝓼𝓪𝓵 𝓹𝓪𝓻𝓽𝔂 𝓲𝓷 𝓪 𝓻𝓾𝓲𝓷𝓮𝓭 𝔀𝓸𝓻𝓵𝓭! 𝓐 𝓷𝓮𝔀 𝓭𝓪𝔀𝓷 𝓲𝓼 𝓬𝓸𝓶𝓲𝓷𝓰!!
There are also some yellow dogs printed on the paper.
Violet takes note as she looks around for anything else, if not she heads to the Walmart. As Violet turns to the Walmart, she sees more of the same advertisements leading to the front door, almost like a breadcrumb trail. Violet walks inside, following the trail. The inside of the Walmart looks like it usually does. Clothes in one section, groceries at the far wing, with various housewares and whatnot. Doesn't seem to be too interesting. That is, until she notices a bunch of arrows on the ground leading somewhere.
Violet eyes the arrows, following the next path of breadcrumbs, "What in the world...?"
As Violet follows the arrows to another side of the massive Walmart, something changes alongside the atmosphere. The usually dull and drab store becomes a lot brighter. Happier. The vibes are good. More and more Solaire merch can be found on the shelves. Shirts featuring various logos, drinkware. Hell, even some of their food products are all found here. But damn this road is long. Eventually, Violet reaches a point where the arrows stop. A bright and happy yellow room somehow still inside the Walmart that looks like a toy store!
Violet looks around the seemingly toy room, looking at the toys of what they sell, "Why toys of all things..."
There's only one kind of toy here. Yellow dog plushies. All of them have a red dog collar and a tag.
Violet reads the tag to see if anything is on it. Each tag is similar yet different. All of them say Hinata 4 U with a different number. For example, one says Hinata4U#1234, another one Hinata4U#2096 and so on. Violet has an uncanny feeling like she's being watched.
Violet looks around, trying to find the source of the watchful eyes, "Hello?"
There's no one there. Violet is the only person in this room. The feeling persists however. There is a door on the far side of this room.
Violet walks over to the door, opening it. As she walks over, she feels hundreds of eyes watching her every step. It's unnerving. One of the plushies fall over as Violet reaches the door. It is locked.
Violet looks quickly over to the plush, examining around it and the shelf. The paranoia growing. The plushie is soft, definitely high quality. On the paw, there's a little red heart on it that says 'press me to hear me talk'. Violet presses the heart. A very soft and gentle voice squeaks out of it saying "please take me home with you." Something about the voice, despite the sweetness, feels unnerving. "Why?" Violet giggles in nervousness of the situation thinking they will respond as she picks up the plush walking back to the door, as she tries to bust it down with vines.
On launching vines at the door, three more plushies fall from their perch. Without her pressing the paw again, the plushie she holds simply says "save us Violet" in the same sweet voice. The room she busted open appears to be empty aside from a note on the floor. Violet walks in the room as she picks up to the note, shaking a bit in fear. She reads the note. The note appears to be hastily written on scrap paper, it's rather messy. But from what Violet can read, it says:
They were right. Playing the Many Gods Above was a mistake. If I survive, I will rectify my mistakes. For my People. For all those I have wronged. For--
And it cuts off. Seems it was torn off.
Violet looks back to the plushies outside the room, stepping back into the toy room, taking the note with her, "Save you... what do you mean?" Violet looks to see if she can find any unique plushies or if they are all the same, looking for #0001.
The plushie is completely silent. What isn't silent and actually rather loud is the room itself. Something's changed, or rather, the lonely quiet nature of it has. Remember how only one plushie fell at first, then three? Now the room has hundreds of them all on the floor. All of them say the same thing in a loud united voice, "please bring me home with you." Light whispers can also be heard, but they don't seem to be coming from the plushies.
Violet shuts her ears with her hands to try and block out the noise but still tries to listen to the whispers, trying to find the source of them. The whispers are all around her, surrounding Violet like a warm blanket. As for looking for a unique plushie, that may be extremely difficult because all of the plushies on the shelves are on the floor all saying the same thing in loud booming yet sweet voices. Panicked, Violet searches for an exit, looking for a way to stop the endless noise, but she realizes the exit's right in front of her. It doesn't seem like the sound is going to stop any time soon, perhaps a design flaw. The room is very very small, like the size of a small mall toy store.
Violet quickly walks out of the toy section until she is out of range of the noises. "What in the gods was that...?" The whispers do not follow. As Violet walks out of the room and back towards the main Walmart, all of the Solaire merch and paraphernalia aren't found either. In fact, the toy store is no longer in sight. Gone. Disappeared. It's Walmart once more, just as clean and fully stocked as it usually is. Boring. Drab. Violet looks curiously back at where it was as she DMs Toby, walking around the Walmart while doing so. It's normal. Even the arrows on the floor are gone. Violet heads outside, sitting down on the side of the building as she collects herself and looks back at the collected note, trying to figure it out. "Many Gods Above... who are you I wonder..."
